LAMBERT ROARS INTO TITLE RACE

ROBERT LAMBERT powered himself into the World Championship title race by winning the Lodz Grand Prix.
The Great Britain captain won an epic final ahead of Patryk Dudek and Brady Kurtz.
It pushed him up the standings to 101 points, eight points behind leader Kurtz and defending World Champion Bartosz Zmarzlik with three rounds to go.
The victory for Lambert comes just a fortnight after announcing he is expecting a first child with Polish wife Julia.
He said: “There was a bit of carnage in the first corner. After the first lap being in front was something good.
“But also the race is not done with Brady who loves to race the fence and Partryk on the inside. I didn’t know what to do, which line to run.”
On being in the title race, he added: “The goal will stay the same as the beginning of the season, top seven.
“Obviously that’s adapted a little bit. I’ll now push for a medal and we’ll see what colour it is.”
